How do I uninstall AFASF NewsBug? (for Windows XP & Vista)
- Make sure that you have closed the AFASF Newsbug application with the 'Exit' command.
- Click 'Start', located in the lower left corner of your screen.
- Select 'Control Panel' -> 'Add Or Remove Programs'.
- Select 'AFASF Newsbug' in the list of programs displayed. (The list of programs is in alphabetical order, so 'AFASF NewsBug' should be near the top of the list.)
- Click the 'Change/Remove' button. (Please Note: A window labeled 'Select Uninstall Method' will be displayed. You are offered 3 options: Automatic, Custom, and Repair. 'Automatic' is best, and selects the default options. Unless you know what you are doing, do not select 'Custom'. 'Repair' is meant to do some repair work to the program if it is not operating properly. If you are having a problem, contact us first at newsbug@afasf.org before you use this option.)
- Select 'Automatic'.
- Click 'Next'. The process of uninstalling the program will then commence and a new window will be displayed.
- Click 'Finish' to complete the process. A window will be displayed that allows you to view the files as they are removed. If Newsbug was still running when you initiated the uninstall process, the computer will need to be restarted (rebooted), to remove the open files and used settings. To reboot your computer now, click 'OK'. To wait until the next time you use your computer, click 'Cancel'.
